Thanks a lot for sharing your life with us for some time! It was very interesting to hear your point of view and your own biography. We had a wonderful time in South Africa, travelling a lot and seeing so many different landscapes and people. We leave our son Johannes to do his volunteer job in Khayelitsha for the following year, so we will be still informed of what's going on, even when we'll be back in Germany. If you come to Germany, don't miss to visit us - you're very welcome

This has been a wonderful experience. I just needed to feel
and this is just what I found here. Thank you for the hospitality,
the food, and the walks in the township. Also, thanks for all the new
friends I found here, and for sharing with me that Khayelitsha is an amazing
and beautiful world.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your Khayelitsha with
us. It was great to hear your upbeat optimism and desire to see more entrepreneurship
to bring up the hopes of the black people of Capetown. Take care and good

I dont know how to thank you for this amazing experience. Food,
music, dancing and laughter. Thank you for bringing people together.
Thank you so much for hosting me and my fellow classmates last week; we had a amazing time! I really enjoyed meeting you, your family, and your neighbors. My time in Khayelitsha, both at your beautiful home and playing with the neighborhood children in the park, was definitely the highlight of my trip. I am so glad that we took the time to become familiar with Khayelitsha. In Khayelitsha, my classmates and I discovered an extremely welcoming and vibrant community. Further, I believe that I speak for everyone in my group when I say how humbled we all were by our experience in Khayelitsha. In the township, despite its ostensible appearance from the highway, we found the wealthiest people that we have ever met. As individuals, the people of Khayelitsha had a wealth of personal experience and outlook on life that I could not have imagined. The uniform attitude of people within Khayelitsha, being so unconditionally loving and caring toward others, selfless, genuine, and good-spirited--in the midst of their daily labors--is remarkable, and I feel blessed to have been able to meet so many of Khayelitsha's residents. So again, I thank you, Mama Thope. By opening your home and community to me and my fellow classmates, you have helped to affect change in each of our lives. Personally, I learned a lot from my visit to South Africa, and to Koponong B&B in particular. I learned much about the culture of native South Africans, and about both humanity and life in general. I also greatly appreciated listening to your "piece of cake" philosophy, and have shared it with my friends and family back in the Washington, D.C., area--all of whom are greatly enticed by the opportunity to one day travel to South Africa and experience for themselves that which I had the pleasure of experiencing at Kopanong B&B. I hope that you and everyone else whom I had the distinct privilege of meeting in Khayelitsha are doing well. Please, if you ever find yourself in America, especially the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area or near the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's campus, do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you again for your generous hospitality and kindness; I will never forget my stay at Kopanong B&B.
